The chokecherry and gooseberry bushes are budding out now. Lots of winter and spring nitrogen and moisture in the ground for them to flourish this year.
Now, if there are no late freezes or heavy summer hailstorms to threaten the fall berry crop then they should produce another fine load of nutritious deliciousness.
