Blue Flower Moon 2019

It was actually sort of blue at first.

A beautiful sight!

As daylight faded, it toned to beige.

~ Full moon on the rise in the eastern sky. ~

~ Its cool soothing glow fills my weary aching eyes. ~

~ Its gentle tidal pull lifts the dreams from my mind. ~

~ And spills them out across the plains before me now. ~

~ Out across these high dreaming plains. ~

First verse of "Dreaming Plains" (by me) March 2001

Composed during a road trip across the high plains to Thunder Basin and Devils Tower the day after I was laid off from a dot-com job when that bubble burst at the turn of the century.

Third Place Winner of the Silverton Jubilee Songwriter's Contest in Silverton, Colorado 2003
