A lot of thunderheads form up in the sky southeast of here. This one tonight showed promise, swelling quickly and taking on a nice anvil shape, but never gathered more power.
A cottontail watched me watching it grow, unconcerned by my presence.
While waiting, I found some new flowers I'd never noticed growing here before.
And also notice a proliferation of chokecherry blossoms beneath the lower aspen grove.
As long as monsoon storms don't bring a lot of hail, it looks like there will be a good harvest.
