My first year of retirement couldn't have been better. Still alive and healthy. Cataract surgery came off perfectly. Enjoying vices not allowable while working for employers or clients. Having fun every day without fail. The only way it might have been better is if the local state park had not been closed. I had hoped to do more fishing there during the first year. But that's a minor thing, having plenty of other waterbodies and waterways to canoe and fish on.
Still need to get the remaining 30% of firewood gathering work finished before winter. Plenty of time to do that, though. Next is expansion of the solar power system to bring it up to 1KW
Life is good.
