Sometimes while on a long road trip when flowers are in bloom, I like to pull over and pluck a blossom to sniff at as I drive. This one had a pleasant fragrance which lasted all day long.
I didn't even try to sniff at a cholla bloom, what with it being so jumpy and all.
There's something unusually delightful about plants blooming in a land as arid as this.
I also like to pause at the Canadian Escarpment and daydream about flying along its rim.
If I'm lucky, I'll dream of doing just that when I finally fall asleep tonight.
