This time three years ago it snowed a nice, wet snow ideal for building a snowgnome. I've considered creating more permanent yard sculptures out of steel but haven't decided what form it might take or where to put it. Something completely unexpected, possibly deep in a heavily forested part of the property so the only way someone can see it is to stumble upon it without warning, triggering a bit of momentary delight.
But then the forest in its natural state is pretty delightful on its own. Maybe my meddling in it beyond the construction of this home studio would be an act of unnecessary arrogance. The snowgnome is long gone, leaving no mark of any kind. An ideal piece of yard art.
