Systems Monitoring

A short spell of springlike weather allowed an excursion to evaluate another possible new homestead property. The owner asked that no photos of it be included in my post about it, wanting to maintain all control over its online advertising. Totally understandable.

While it's a fantastic location for off-gid solar power generation, it's not an ideal parcel for me, though, being situated in the Transpecos where no good groundwater source exists. And I do prefer a parcel with lots of tall, shading trees too. Mesquite-only forests get pretty monotonous. The outing did provide time to observe the recovery vehicle's performance on and off road. And with all of its essential systems bluetooth enabled, it was just a matter of glancing at their apps to find out how well they were all performing.

Parcel candidate #1 is still in top standing, so unless something extraordinarily nice hits the market soon, that will become the new homestead before summertime arrives. And possibly it will be outfitted with its own solar microgrid by then, ready to inhabit full time.
