Not sure how heavy tonight’s snow will be, but it seems to be starting well with a stout powder fall underway. A bonus is some nice, long, rolling peals of thunder and an occasional flash of lightning through bedroom windows. Most likely the last to come for many months.
The ground is steaming away its stored warmth and flying insects are still buzzing around in confusion near artificial light sources (my bedside light is the only one around out here). A luscious fragrance of aerosols is evident in the air after so long without any moisture. Temperature is forecast to drop into the teens before sunrise tomorrow and a foot of snow before sunset.
Hope to be thoroughly snowed in by then and even more so by the time the storm moves on about two days from now.
