As a child I enjoyed pulling the wishbone with a family member and then laughing together We knew it was just a silly game and nothing more. Superstitions (not even the highly organized and ritualized kind) have never influenced my decision making or actions. This isn't to say I discount the effect superstitions have on others, rendering most very dangerous.
Since at least ninety percent of people in the world are influenced by superstitions it's always in the forefront of my mind when forced into interactions with others that more likely than not their superstitions pose significant threat to my safety and wellbeing. Staying aware of that simple fact is key to survival and happiness. Life is the game I enjoy and intend to win at.
